Limited security precautions are provided in FATMEN. They are as follows:
- There are no restrictions on access to catalogue information, other
than those provided at the file system level. That is, any use may inspect
any catalogue.
- Directories may only be deleted if they are completely empty, i.e.
contain no subdirectories and no files.
- File entries may only be deleted by their creator. The creator is
identified by the account field.
- Protection may be established on directory trees, as explained below.
